Field Trips

Engage your group with active, collaborative, outdoor work that contributes to the wellbeing of the city.

Vacant Lots Farm Club field trips are designed to educate and inspire. We help you explore the outdoors while learning to care for it in a new way. Our farm showcases different agricultural techniques and endless opportunities to engage with nature up close.

Participants receive a farm tour and 1 hour seasonal activity of your choice from one of the following categories:

PRODUCTIVE
Get your hands dirty and contribute to the daily tasks on farm. Activities could include: Planting, Harvesting, Composting, Tool Maintenance

MEDITATIVE
Slow down and tap into the rhythms of nature. Activities could include: Seed Saving, Nature Appreciation, Sketching and Journaling
‍
CREATIVE
Channel natures abundant inspiration into art and design. Activities could include: Flower Arranging, Insect and Bird Housing, Garden Design

Cost: Students and Care Groups: $20 / person
Corporate teams: $40 / person

Time: 2 hours

Minimum group size 10 people. For groups with people under the age of 18 a supervisor(s) is required.
