Vacant Lots Farm Club promotes outdoor nature based healing experiences.

We convert vacant lots into therapeutic growing spaces through practical volunteer work.

We are an urban farm club that supports Calgarian's wellbeing by growing food and flowers to share.

LEARN MORE ABOUT US

The Farm

Our farming practices "tidy up" vacant lots, build soil by harvesting local organic materials, grow loads of prairie hardy plants, and create therapeutic growing spaces across the city.

We build our farms around a kit of parts that is designed to easily integrate with the existing site context and surrounding community.

With this kit of parts we translate the teachings of the farm into a variety of on-site programs.

Field Trips

Half and full day learning experiences for students of all ages.
We help students and educators explore the outdoors while learning to care for it in a new way.

Team Building Workshops

Learn, grow, and work better together at our signature team building workshop.
Take care of your team and the city at the same time.

Organics Drop-Off

We accept commercial woodchips and yard waste that that directly supports our growing.
Great locations and perks for drivers and staff.

We acknowledge Mohʼkinsstis and Treaty 7 territory the traditional and ancestral territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Kainai, Piikani and Siksika as well as the Tsuu Tʼina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nation. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on.
